How to maintain battery in terminal

1. Time for Charge/Discharge

  • The time for full discharge while in use, depends on how many transactions are processed. It’s normally 6 to 8 hours.
  • The average time to charge from 0% to 100% is 3.5 hours using the original cord and block.
  • The packed should be stored at room temperature, charged about 40 to 60% of capacity.

2. Battery recommendations

  • The original cable and block should be used to charge the terminal. If the charging block or cable is misplaced, please do not use a generic cable or charging block. This will damage the cord, block, or battery. The best practice is to order the replacement directly from your Merchant Service Provider or Charge Anywhere2.
  • Terminals should be charged from the power outlet directly via the DC input, not the mini-USB input. Charging from the mini-USB input may damage the cord or battery. Connect directly to the outlet and avoid connecting to computers or cars mini-USB.
  • The terminal should not be permanently connected to the electrical outlet. This can cause damage to the battery.
  • It is recommended to unplug the terminal from the outlet when fully charged, and recharge once the battery level gets under 50%.

3. Storing batteries

In case of over-discharge, the pack should be charged for one time every three months while storing, and batteries should be discharged and charged after being stored for more than a year in order to activate it and restore energy.
